ESHA Hub

Code of Conduct

Last Updated: February 7, 2026

1 Introduction

Welcome to ESHA Hub. We are an open, community-driven platform dedicated to innovation, research, and collaborative learning based in Assam, India. Our mission is to foster a space where curiosity drives discovery and where individuals are valued for their skills and ethical contributions, regardless of their age or background.

This Code of Conduct outlines the shared values and expected behaviors that make our community safe, productive, and welcoming. It applies to all members—including learners, researchers, mentors, volunteers, and contributors—participating in ESHA Hub activities, whether online or offline.

By joining ESHA Hub, you agree to uphold these principles to help us build a culture of trust and genuine exploration.

2 Respect, Dignity, and Inclusion

ESHA Hub is a unique ecosystem where children, youth, adults, and senior citizens collaborate side-by-side. We believe that talent has no age limit and innovation has no hierarchy.

  • Age-Agnostic Respect: Treat every member with equal respect. A young learner’s curiosity is as valuable as a senior mentor’s experience. Do not dismiss ideas based on a person’s age.

  • Zero Tolerance for Discrimination: We do not tolerate discrimination based on caste, religion, gender, age, disability, linguistic background, or socioeconomic status.

  • No Harassment or Bullying: Harassment, intimidation, bullying, or humiliation of any kind is strictly prohibited. We create a space where people feel safe to express their thoughts without fear of ridicule.

  • Value Diversity: Embrace the diverse perspectives that come from our community in Assam and beyond. Different viewpoints fuel better research and innovation.

3 Learning & Collaboration Ethics

We exist to break away from rote learning and blind obedience. We encourage critical thinking, ethical experimentation, and deep understanding.

  • Curiosity Over Obedience: We encourage you to ask "Why?" and "How?" You are not expected to follow instructions blindly. Constructive questioning is the foundation of research.

  • Collaboration, Not Exploitation: Collaboration should be voluntary and mutually beneficial. No member should be forced to perform tasks or labor against their will.

  • Academic Integrity: Innovation requires honesty. Do not plagiarize code, writing, or ideas. Always give credit to the original creators, contributors, and sources.

  • Support for Beginners: Everyone starts somewhere. Experienced members are expected to guide beginners with patience. Do not mock lack of knowledge; instead, provide resources to bridge the gap.

  • Contribution Recognition: We ensure that every individual who contributes to a project—regardless of the size of their contribution—is acknowledged fairly.

4 Communication & Conduct

Healthy communication is the backbone of our community. We expect interactions to be professional, polite, and constructive.

Professional Language

Use language that is calm, clear, and respectful. Avoid aggressive, abusive, or manipulative language.

Constructive Feedback

When critiquing work or research, focus on the content, not the person. Feedback should help the project grow.

Disagreement is Healthy

It is okay to disagree. However, ensure that debates remain logical. Personal attacks are never acceptable.

Listening

Active listening is as important as speaking. Give others space to share their ideas without interruption.

5 Use of Platform, Resources, and Data

  • Responsible Use: Do not use ESHA Hub’s platforms, servers, or physical resources for illegal activities, spamming, or malicious hacking.

  • Data Privacy: Respect the privacy of fellow members. Do not share personal contact details, photos, or private data of others without their explicit consent.

  • No Exploitation: The platform cannot be used for unauthorized commercial solicitation, scams, or personal financial gain at the expense of other members.

  • Safety First: Do not post or share content that is violent, sexually explicit, or unsafe.

6 Authority, Responsibility, and Accountability

Leadership at ESHA Hub is about service, mentorship, and facilitation, not control.

  • No Misuse of Power: Mentors, admins, and project leads must not use their position to intimidate others or demand personal favors.

  • Accountability: Every member is responsible for their own actions. If you make a mistake, acknowledge it, apologize, and work to correct it.

  • Transparency: Decisions regarding community projects, resource allocation, and moderation will be made transparently whenever possible.

7 Violations and Corrective Actions

Our goal is to help members learn and grow. However, to protect the community, violations of this Code will be addressed firmly and fairly.

Level 1

Correction Over Punishment

For minor or first-time offenses (e.g., accidental rude language), members may receive a private warning and guidance on how to improve.

Level 2

Proportional Response

Actions may include verbal/written warnings, temporary suspension from channels/projects, or permanent removal.

Level 3

Immediate Removal

Serious offenses, such as harassment, hate speech, or dangerous illegal activities, may result in immediate banishment without prior warning.

8 Reporting Concerns or Misconduct

If you witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, or if you feel unsafe or uncomfortable, we encourage you to report it.

How to Report

You can report issues directly to the Community Safety Team via email.
